Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 30, 2026
Rubber Goose Games ("we", "us", "our") makes games for everyone, and we want you to understand what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. This policy applies to our website at rubbergoosegames.com and to the games and apps we publish (together, our "Services"). If a specific game has additional privacy terms, they will be shown in that game or its store listing.
1. Who we are
Rubber Goose Games is an independent game studio based in the United States. If you have any questions about this policy or your information, contact us at jano.a.huerta@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
On our website
Our website does not use cookies, analytics, or advertising trackers. Like most websites, our hosting provider (Amazon Web Services) automatically records standard server logs, which may include your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the date and time of the request. Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends a request (including your IP address) to Google's servers.
In our games
Depending on the game and the features you use, we and our service providers may collect:
- Device information, such as device model, operating system, language, country or region (derived from IP address), and app version.
- Device and advertising identifiers, such as the Apple Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA, only with your permission), Google Advertising ID, or an app-specific installation ID.
- Gameplay and usage data, such as levels played, session length, features used, and in-game events.
- Crash and diagnostic data, such as crash logs and performance information.
- Account and profile information, if you create an account or sign in, such as a player ID, display name, and, if you provide it, an email address or a platform account ID (for example Apple Game Center, Google Play Games, or Steam).
- Game progress, such as saved games, scores, leaderboard entries, and in-game currency or items.
- Purchase information, such as which in-app items you bought and transaction IDs. Payments are processed by the app store or platform (for example Apple, Google, or Steam). We never receive your full payment card details.
- Communications, such as the content of emails or support requests you send us.
3. How we use information
- To provide and operate our games, including saving and syncing your progress.
- To process and verify in-app purchases and deliver what you bought.
- To show advertising, including personalized ads where you have allowed it.
- To understand how our games are played so we can fix problems and make them better.
- To diagnose crashes and improve performance.
- To prevent cheating, fraud, and abuse, and to keep our Services secure.
- To respond to your questions and support requests.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. Third-party services
We rely on trusted third parties to run our Services. They may collect information directly from your device under their own privacy policies. Depending on the game, these may include:
- Advertising and ad mediation (for example Unity LevelPlay and Google AdMob, and the ad networks they work with).
- Analytics, crash reporting, and game backend services (for example Unity Gaming Services and Google Firebase), which provide features such as analytics, accounts, cloud saves, and leaderboards.
- App stores and platforms (for example Apple App Store, Google Play, and Steam), which handle downloads and payments.
- Hosting (Amazon Web Services) for our website and online services.
The specific services used by each game are listed in that game's store privacy disclosures. You can also email us to ask which services a particular game uses.
5. Advertising and your choices
- iOS: We only access your device's advertising identifier if you allow tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Android: You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your device's Settings (usually under Google > Ads or Privacy > Ads).
- Consent: Where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland), we ask for your consent before showing personalized ads. You can change your choice from the game's settings menu where available.
If you opt out of personalized ads, you may still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.
6. Legal bases (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)
If you are in these regions, we process your personal information based on:
- Contract: to provide the games and purchases you request.
- Consent: for personalized advertising and certain analytics, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain, and improve our Services and prevent fraud.
- Legal obligation: where we must keep or disclose information by law.
7. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only:
- With the service providers described above, to operate our Services.
- With advertising partners, to show ads, subject to your choices described above.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our players, us, or others.
- As part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to protect your information.
Under some US state laws (such as California's), sharing device identifiers with advertising partners for personalized ads may be considered "selling" or "sharing" personal information. You can opt out using the device settings described in section 5 or by emailing us at jano.a.huerta@gmail.com.
8. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, such as while your account is active, and as required to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy of it.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information and account.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and opt out of personalized advertising.
- Withdraw consent you previously gave.
To make a request, email us at jano.a.huerta@gmail.com. Please include the name of the game and, if possible, your player ID so we can find your data. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10. Children's privacy
Our games are made for players of all ages, and we take children's privacy seriously. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country) without verifiable parental consent. When a game is played by a child, or is directed at children, we limit data collection to what is needed to run the game and show only non-personalized, age-appropriate ads.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, please contact us at jano.a.huerta@gmail.com and we will delete it.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, for transfers of personal information from the EEA, UK, and Switzerland.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above, and if the changes are significant we will let you know in our games or on our website.
